We could not ask for a better veterinary hospital to take care of our two dogs. I cannot keep track of how many times I called them and bothered them with annoying questions and ridiculous situations my dogs have placed themselves in. Yet, every time they respond in a kind and quick manner. The staff - from vets to the poor employees who answer my silly questions - treat my pets as if they are one of their own family members, which is something I'm assuming you cannot say for every veterinarian facility.
The staff here is wonderful! Dr. Byrd is great and so is Dr. Dawson! They are both super understanding of how anxious and reactive my goofus of a dog gets at the vet—so funny seeing Dr. Byrd strategically deploying spray cheese for easy vaccinations! They have also been awesome in collaborating with a different vet practice in a different state when I have been travelling and have done last-minute med refills—both of which I know are not easy. Thanks for taking such great care of us, UPVH!!
I can't say enough good things about this place. Dr Dawson is amazing. She did surgery on two have my kittens who had umbilical hernias. One had a bigger one then she felt comfortable with so she took extra precautions to make sure he would come through safely from his surgery. Also last night my kitten hurt his back leg and I called this morning and they told me to bring him in right away. They truly care about your pets This is the only place I will bring my pets.
Our dog became extremely ill when we were out of town. My daughter was caring for her at the time. Not only was Dr. Bird extremely compassionate towards my daughter when providing her updates, but he also took the time to make multiple phone calls to us as well to keep us informed and give us the opportunity to ask the questions that we had. We are forever grateful for the care that he provided.
We were referred to Dr. Vogl by our regular Vet when our mixed breed needed ACL surgery. The staff was caring and compassionate throughout the process. Dr. Vogl presented options and was honest and forthright about the recovery process and what our responsibilities were to ensure that our boy would reach maximum recovery. He also made regular phone calls during the recovery period to regulate pain medication and any address any issues that came up. I appreciate that. We highly recommend this facility for care for your furry family members.
